With over 15 years of experience in Pathology, my journey in medicine has been driven by a deep passion for understanding the intricate workings of the human body. My expertise lies in Obstetric and Gynecologic Pathology, with a special focus on Placental Pathology

My academic career began with an MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, followed by an MD in Pathology from St. John’s Medical College. I have also earned a PhD in Pathology, with research focused on the histomorphological characterization of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) placentae, emphasizing vascular development.

At St. John’s Medical College, I have progressed from lecturer to Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology. Teaching is a passion, and I have had the privilege of guiding PhD scholars, undergraduate, and postgraduate students. My role extends beyond imparting knowledge; it is about inspiring curiosity and a commitment to excellence in my students.

My research interests have led to over 60 publications in national and international journals, and I have secured nearly four sponsored grants. I am actively involved in research, particularly in Gynecological pathology, aiming to uncover insights that can improve women’s health outcomes.

In addition to my teaching and research roles, I have serve as the Quality Manager for St. John’s laboratory services and have been an active committee member for various initiatives at St. John’s Medical College. These roles have allowed me to contribute to maintaining high standards in laboratory practices and academic governance. I have undergone training in research methodology at St. John’s Medical College, completing both basic and advanced courses during 2013-14. Furthermore, I have completed an online course in the fundamentals of Medical Ethics.

My professional memberships with the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM) and the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists (ISGyP) keep me connected to the broader medical community and ensure that I stay at the forefront of developments in my field.

I am passionate about pathology and dedicated to advancing the field through continuous learning, research, and mentorship.
